As an independent family business, we deal with the processing of ores and minerals in our mineral grinding plant in Bendorf.
Our modern and efficient plant on a 35,000 sqm site is located at a central transportation hub with access to various Middle Rhine ports and is conveniently accessible by ship or truck via seaports Rotterdam and Antwerp.
The existing customer proximity in the heart of the German ceramics and refractory industry as well as a favorable connection to the industrial centers Rhine/Main, Ruhr area, Northern France and Benelux are a further advantage.
History
For 70 years now, H.J. Schmidt Mineraltechnik, founded in Neuwied in 1951 by Heinrich Josef Schmidt and now based in Bendorf, has been a leading supplier of mineral industrial raw materials for the refractory, ceramics and foundry industries.
With its focus on market requirements, the mineral grinding plant taken over from H.J. Schmidt in Bendorf in 1984 was consistently expanded as a specialist supplier of high-refractory raw materials and services.
